Thanks, I see now, the headset base station plugs into the handset socket on the phone and the handset plugs into the headset and you get a lifter for the off hook button.<br />
The lifter seems like a low tech solution, but I spose it does the job!

Is it possible to use headsets with Cisco 7911G/7912G telephones? I know that they don't have a headphone sockets as well as the handset socket as the higher models do, but is is possible to plug a headset into the handset socket?<br />
I'm thinking probably not as the off-hook button would obviously not be controlled by the headset but is would be good if someone could confirm.
