Regular Expression Phrasing

I'm using Textpad with a pretty large tab delimited file.  There are basically one tab in each line.  I want to replace all text from the tab to the end of line.  I am trying to phrase a regular expression to do this, but it doesn't seem to work.  I am trying the following:

\t*\n

If anyone knows of the correct way to phrase this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

It seems like you answered this yourself.  If that is the case and you need help closing this then let me know.  If you are interested in an alternative that will handle even more characters then you could've also tried ...

\t.*$

Let me know if you have a question about it.

In this case, the answer was as follows:

\t[A-Za-z\@\.]*\n
