How can I open an .evt file. I get an error message when I attempt to open it.

When I attempt to open a .evt file, I get this error ".evt is not a valid Win32 application. How can I resolve this issue? This occurs when I save the application logs from event viewer on a windows 2000 server with sp. 4

frankmcc, yes i tried to open it on a different computer but I got the same error message.

You need to open it with event viewer.
Open EventViewer and select ACTION->Open Log File and select the file
