how to set the Collation to use 3 languages in my database:
using Cyrillic_General_CI_AS. + Arabic_Bin + english?

ALTER DATABASE Mxxx
    COLLATE CollationName

Hi ethar1,

You can only have one collation for a column or database so you could have:
A database with Cyrillic_General_CI_AS collation as default and a column with Arabic_Bin collation within that database.  The only way AFAIK to have the same data stored with varying collation is to duplicate the data.

What are you trying to achieve?

ok, but know I change db to Cyrillic_General_CI_AS but still c the character like this only : ??????????????

Hi ethar1,

The collation should not make any difference to the way the chararcters are displayed - the collation affects ordering and comparison of the data.  This link is a good intro from MS:

I think the display of characters in different languages needs language packs or code page setttings ino rder to display properly - I'm not too sure how this works though...
