Cannot copy files to CD-RW or DVD-RW, error
Suddenly I'm unable to burn anything to either of my drives. One drive is a Sony CD-RW CRX230EE and the other drive is a Sony DVD-RW DW-G120A. When I try to copy/paste or drag/drop files to the drive I get an error: Cannot copy <file name>. Files on this CD-ROM drive are read only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CD-ROM drive.
This computer is running Windows XP Pro SP2
A couple unusal things I have noticed, and further notes-
Usually when you right click on a CD or DVD-RW drive there is a 'Recording' tab where you can Enable/Disable recording, that tab is missing for both drives.
When I go to My Computer the drives DO however show up as CD-RW and DVD-RW drives.
In the Device manager the drives are listed as:
CD-RW CRX230EE SCSI
DVD-RW DW-G120A SCSI
I don't know why they are listed as SCSI and I don't know if it was always like that or not. The drives are actually IDE drives.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled with reboots inbetween through the Device Manager, neither of the drives have had a "!" or "?" in the drive manager.
I am also unable to burn when I try to go through Nero burning software, I'm unable to select either of the drives from within Nero.
I have tried multiple types and speeds of CDR's and DVDR's.
Please help! Very urgent! O.o

Have you recently installed any Emulation or Ripping software?

I misspoke on not being able to burn from Nero, I still cannot burn from Nero, but I can select either of the drives, I just get the same error as before.
