email a public folder without creating ADUC account

Due to PCI compliance standards we are unable to create Generic ADUC accounts this prevents us from having a generic Exchange Mailbox.
Can you set up an email enabled public folder, assign it an email address that does not have a mailbox attached to it and still be able to email it from an outside email address?

You certainly can!

You will need to allow annoymous users writes to create items so mail from outside creates emails in the folders but it is all possible.
