We just converted from SQL 2000 to 2005.  Now my reports are scrambled.  Specifically the data is no longer sorted based on the sorting I setup in the sql view.  Do I have a setting wrong somewhere?

You may have a collation problem, which could be causing your sorting issues.  Look at the colation setting on the database and make sure it is the same as it was before.

Here's my setting:  SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

I believe this is a fairly generic setting, so can't see how it would prevent something as obvious as alphabetical sorting.

If I may ask what may be an obvious question:  You are using an ORDER BY clause right?

acperkins,

Yes I am.  It all worked just fine on the SQL 2000 machine.  I can't imagine that a simple upgrade would break something so basic as sorting.  Tell me it's a bad dream.

Is it only broken in Crystal?

Is Crystal doing any sorting in the report?
