How can I create a new tree in an existing forest (2 locations, 2 subnets)??

Hey Guys/Gals....

I'm setting up 2 domains for a client.  Each at a different location and a different subnet.  I want to use non-contiguous name spaces.  The routing will be done on a cisco router.  Site A will already be in place and when I bring the domain controller over to Site B I will run dcpromo and choose new tree in existing forest.  Will I run into any problems if the routing is already in place??  Do I have to do anything at site A for site B to find the forest and create the new tree??

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello debbiez,

Do you have any filtering between? If not, then you should have no problems.

No, as long as you can reach the Root DC of the Forest from the other site, you'll be fine.
