Which command used to find out how space available on my local hard drive?

I have a dell 2950 server with one SAS 500 GB drive.
I want to know how much space is available on my drive, so which commands should I use to find out?
I am running VMware esx 3.5

Thanks

Why not check from the Virtual machine itself?

Are you refering to disk availability for the virtual machine or amount of unallocated partitions.

what if I don't have virtual machine?
I am refering to the amount of unallocated partition.

I checked from VMware Infrastructure Client and click on Storage tap and what I can see from there.

Identification            Device                         Capacity             Free             Type
storage 1                 vmhba0:0:0:3             458GB                233.75GB      vmfs3

233.75GB is free space on my HD, is this correct?

or any other solution?

Thanks

Correct 233,75 GB is free on you vmfs storage. Of course you have other space for vmware (the console instatllation). with vdf -h you can see all drives.

Hi

It depends on how much LUNs you have you created

If have you just one LUNs on your SAS, and then yes you have 233Gb free on your Storage
