View All Actionscript in a .fla

Hi,

I want to be able to view all of the actionscript created for a .fla file. I want to be able to search it so I can find a particular reference in the code that I can change.

Thanks,

D

1.
Open FLA in Flash

2.
Preass ALT+F3 to open Movie Explorer window, alternatively open it using menu "Window>MovieExploer"

3.
Here you need to toggle off all buttons except "show Actionscript" (3rd icon)

4.
Now if you have all as suggest above, you will be seeing all actionscript in tree view.

5.
you can now shortlist the tree items by entering search content  in "Find" text box just above the tree.

Hi,

I wonder could you take a quick look at this file and see where the problem is?

Basically I want to be able to change the buttons so when I click on them they go to a specified url. At the moment they are all set to "index.jsp". I don't know how to change these to another url. I have tried to the above method you suggested but for some reason the buttons are not listed in the scene when I press Alt and F3.

if you could advise me on how to change the url links  in this file I would greatly appreciate it.

click any blank area on stage..

press CTRL+F,

large "Find & Replace" dialog will pop up

enter "index.jsp" in "text" field

and press "Find All"

you will get all code instance where this page is being called..

Now, just above the list of find instances, you should be able to see a checkbox with label "Live Edit", check it

now click any item in list of find items, you will be directed to the actionscript code directly..
