I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

this is because you are running an UPDATE package -- and since there is no apple software that will decode Itunes files on the PC yet, it fails.  You will have to find a different ITunes package as an INITIAL install on a PC, so that this update will work -- maybe an earlier version?  Maybe apple Quick Time?  I would start with an install of Quick time from apple and then try to install this package, else you will need an original install of the Itunes software from the same place as you go this "update" package.

bcabot,

Do you have a previous version of iTunes installed?  What about QuickTIme?  Try to remove both first and see if the install will run then.

What security and similar software do you have running?  Those will run at startup and maybe causing some conflict.  You could try a restart, disable those programs, and then try the install.

Let me know if you have any questions or need more information.
