HP 7410 NOT SCANNING NOW IT'S ON A NETWORK

Hello,

Went to scan with the HP7410 and it is no longer working. The "HP Director" status tells me it is "disconnected", although I can still print fine while in this state.

The printer has not been used for scanning since being put onto a home network. Assumed all worked fine as the test page was successful but now it looks as though the other features of the all-in-one are not functioning (as they had been when not networked).

Are you connected via USB or Rj45?

Usually you cannot scan if you are not connected via USB.

I am connected wirelessly. This is a feature this product claims to have without losing functionality...

It worked fine wirelessly until put onto network....

regarding network installation - do you have a firewall ?   disable it

Yes I have a firewall but disabling it failed to fix the problem.

Unfortunately the list provided does not solve this problem.

i would try to uninstall it completely then, then reinstall
you can also check in the scanner properties if the port is still usb, or lan

Solution eventually achieved by contacting HP Support.

Steps taken were too numerous to detail here.

I suggest anyone with this problem to contact HP Support on this issue.
