Adobe READER - can one control it by automation code?

The question is specifically about the free adobe READER program.
I would want to be able to control the reader through automation.
eg.
Open a pdf file, Print then close the reader.
Open a pdf file then navigate to a specific page

Is this possible?
Links to good information will result in more points being assigned to the question.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Andy;
see if the next url helps you with your problem, it's an example that use the Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Browser Control (AcroPDF.dll) with Visual Basic 6.0.

Thanks guys, I have doubled the points and split equally between you.
I haven't checked either link - there was a rethink at this end of what was required and the question became redundant.
