Where can i find a deleted profile?

I have a user who deleted their profile.  They went to mycomputer properties, advanced, then user profiles and deleted it from there.  Does anyone know where i can recover it from?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

http://www.stellarinfo.com/disk-recovery.htm is a good product.
Even with this, it is very unlikely that you can recover an entire profile intact - at least it would need a lot of work.

http://www.active-undelete.com/ is a good recovery tool as well.

Its not actually kept anywhere - not put in the recycle bin for example - so your only option would be to use a tool like and235100 describes.

I used the tool active undelete and there weren't any profiles there?  I saw a folder which represented a SID, but i couldnt find any documents.

Yes, well file/folder recoveries are rarely without incident.
If you had used the drive for a while after the (accidental) deleteion - then the chances are that the data has been overwritten.
Normally, the advice is - as soon as you delete something, remove the disk - so no further read/writes can occur - then mount it read-only - and see what you can recover.

The files were deleted a few days ago, and I saw folders there that dated back at least six or seven months.  However, I can't find the desktop.  Well, when I recovered a profile, there were items that were recovered as .TMP files, which i am unsure how to restore.

.TMP files could be whole files - or fragments - it is unlikely that you can find out if these are real files marked with a .tmp extension - most likely - they are just temp files...

You didn't by chance have a backup of the system or a roaming profile setup?
