We have installed SUS 3.0 and we hav eupdates downloaded but no computers are showing in any of the groups created, not even in unassigned. What do we need to do to add computers?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should be using a computer group in the Active Directory which is associated with WSUS.  This group will be the list of computers the program sees.  When installing, did it mention anything about such a group?
Take a look here:  http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/4ac8d574-f48e-4d9d-86c9-9aeb0f57e7501033.mspx?mfr=true

You need to direct your computers to look at the WSUS installation, either by registry or by policy.

To force the updates on the individual machines, run wuauclt.exe /detectnow from a command prompt.
