I need a tool to test network usage and bandwidth on a LAN.

Hi I have changed my ISP (4 meg fiber network) and added a new cisco 1841 router I have a tandberg video confrencing device that I am lossing packets and dropping calls on and I need to find out what the problem is. I need a tool/software to help me located my packet loss and bandwidth usage. The calls on the teleconf. device will go well for a while then I get packet loss and or dropped calls.

Thanks for any help

there is a new free tool which i am sure will help you pt360 tool sutie, it will let you get the network trafic, config from routers, and other helpful tools.
pt360 has a nice interface and is simple to use. Another good tool is Solar Winds tool kit. IT has been around for a while and is very informative

Wireshark and Packetyzer (Network Chemistry) are both free.  Commonly known for their packet capture, they will also do stats, and then if you feel inclined you can look at the packets too.

If you are linux-y you can use several libraries for in depth tcp analysis, using tcpdump or similar captues (most things save as libpcap format)
