I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Flicker is often caused by Form Timer events that have been turned on and/or Mouse Move Events that are in use.

Also ... sometimes Conditional Formatting can cause flicker - sometimes.

Also, are you saying flickering as in a constant blinking on/off???

Or

Is it a flicker when the form is re-queried???

What I generally do is load any unbound Text Controls using the form's Load Event.  Something like ....

Me.TxtMyFieldName = [SomeField] + [SomeOtherField]
