Syncronize Public Folders to Blackberry's Wirelessly

I know that RIM has officially disabled Wireless Public Folder Syncronization in BES, but I was curious to see if anyone has a decent workaround for this issue.

We use contacts in our public folder so everyone in our office keeps up to date with important contact info.  Many of our users operate without internet access and work solely off of their blackberry.

What would you recommend to keep their public contacts updated on their blackberry?

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why they won't just allow it, however.

The best workaround in my opinion is get the user to drag and drop the public folder ontop of their own contacts folder in Outlook.  This will create a COPY of the public folder as a sub-folder of contacts.  The contacts will then automatically sync onto the Blacberry.

The biggest problem with this method is the fact it is only a copy but you users will be so grateful to have the public folder contacts available they will be happy to learn how to delete the copy and copy again once a week/month.

Hope this helps,

You can try a third party tool like "Add2Exchange" which will automatically sync a public folder to a personal folder.

Thanks guys.

Very frustrated with RIM, but you can't have everything, right?
Does anyone else have an update on this?  is there another way to sync up the public folders using the Blackberry Exchange Server ... like a corporate contacts folder in Public Folders ?

BES 5 will have public folder sync built-in so from your device you could view your personal and public contacts.
