Creating E-mail groups visible to the internet

Hello everyone,

I have Exchange 2007 and would like to know if there is an easy way to create a group account that is visible to the internet.
Ex: I want to create a support group that has a few members with email address support@XXX.com i can create the group easily enough but this is then only visible to the internal exchange network.

Any help would be appreciated

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

When you say visble do you mean that you cannot send to the newly created group from the Internet? Can you send to any addresses from the Internet that use @XXX.com addresses?

What error are you recieving?

Hi Mass2612,

I can send E-mail to user mailboxes from the internet, just not a group account - which is fine for internal groups but I need some groups like support to be able to receive E-mail from the internet.

Cheers

I am currently running exchange as a test server, I cannot switch it to the live connection until after hours. I will run some further tests tonight and see how it goes - thanks for your quick response :)
