MS Outlook HTML vs. Plain Text

If I receive a message composed in plain text , replying forces me to type in plain text, unless I manually change the pulldown to HTML and then change the font manually.

Is there a default setting FOR REPLYING to plain text messages,  such that it always changes to HTML for replies?

Outlook 2002 (v. 10)
(or even Outlook 2003)
thanks

Hello willsherwood,

Here is a VB script to always reply in HTML format
http://www.outlookcode.com/codedetail.aspx?id=47

You can use Bell and Whistle to make the change
http://www.emailaddressmanager.com/outlook/format.html

Hope this helps!

I have this goal  so I've done some research on this issue.  I wasn't able to find a way to automatically reply to a plain text email in HTML.  However, I ended up customizing my email toolbar to include the HTML formatting tool.

Open an email and hit Reply or Forward.
Select View --> Toolbars --> Customize
On the left side of the window, click on Format and on the right side of the window, scroll down to HTML
Drag HTML up to your toolbar
Close email

HTML is now there for all your email.  You only have to click on any email you are replying to or forwarding and it will be converted to HTML format.
