sum up unsuppress filed

HI,
some records in detail section are suppressed understand a condition. there is a field in detail section called 'Amount'. the data is group by customerID. Order number and line number combines to make a record unique. I would to calculate the total of 'Amount' for each customer. what might I do. thanks

why are you doing a coniditional suppress and not a selection filter?  If there is a way to incorporate it into the record selection filter, than you could just simply sum on the column.

When you use a summary function on Amount are you getting the suppressed values added in?

You could use a running total that uses a formula for the evaluation which would simply be the negative of the suppression formula

hi mlmcc,
yes, I got supressed values added in.

I have tried using the running total, but having problem on the formula for adding the value. I want to do the add where ordNbr, invtID, and lineRef are different from the previous records. how can I do that. thanks
