VISTA laptop connecting remotely to Local domain network running WIN SBS2003 Server

I am confused as to whether to setup Remote Desktop for laptop or setup a VPN for the laptop and then how to do this.  We have all new equipment:  the network has 2 desktops and one laptop and a SBS 2003 Server and a router/firewall, Watchguard Firebox X55.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Most useful feature is likely rpc/http, so that your mail will synchronize anywhere so long as you have an Internet connection.

VPN is good for remotely accessing or copying files, but if you have a desktop in the office, more secure, and easier to use, is Remote Web Workplace.
