I need to increase the number of ip addreses my dhcp issues

I am running out of ip addresses, I need to add another 254 addresses.  I would like to lengthen my existing scope 10.109.198.0 to 10.109.199.254 (subnet 255.255.255.0).  I need help in doing this.  All of the steps to do this would be greatly appreciated.

log on the the DHCP server..

open admin toold -->> dhcp

expand the dhcp server that holds the scope

righ click on the scope you want to expand.

choses propties and chance the start and end address to what you require..

done

it should update the subnet mask automaticaly... so you wont need to change this on indivual pc's.

that should be it

the scope that I have now is 10.109.198.171 - 254.

I changed the scope to 10.109.198.171 - 10.109.199.254.  the error that I get is the specified range either overlaps an existing range or is not valid
