Difference between PC Express slot and PCMCIA slot

Can someone clarify for me the difference between these 2 cards. Can a PC express card fit into a PCMCIA slot ! is it that PC express is the older version of PCMCIA. Are dedvices still being made that are of the PC express card type !

PC Express is the newer technology.

Here is a good site that can introduce you and compare the two technology platform types:
PC Express is the later technology - If you happen to buy a PCX device, you should be able to get an adapter which will essentially 'convert' it to PCMCIA if that's the only slot type you have!

There is no difference between PC cards and PCMCIA (just that most people cant put the initials PCMCIA in the correct order so the term PC card rtends to be used these days).
