I have an SBS 2003 setup with relayfax.

It can receive the faxes no problem, but when it comes to sending the faxes it doesn't seem to dial the modem.

The software can see the modem  and knows its com settin but it doesn't sseem to send or make any attempt to send.
Any help would be much appreciated
Regards

Why don't you relay the fax via e-mail?
Do you have to fax it ?
If so is the modem that you are receiving the fax the same modem use to relay the fax?

Why are you using a 3rd party fax program instead of the built-in SBS Shared Fax Server?

This seems as though it would just complicate things.

I should probably ask, though, what is the brand/model # of your modem?

Thanks - the client wants to use relayfax rather then the SBS default - don't know why and its not worth the time asking.

I eventually got it working - it wasn't working before because the program needed to see the POP3 inbox and the MS POP3 connector was disabled so that sorted it. Although why it needed the POP3 connector running I've no idea considering all emails are setup by exchange and SMTP. Thanks.

However in the past when it worked it always kept the fax as an email in the faxstore email inbox, and now as soon as it sends the fax it removes the 'email' entirely from the email inbox....anyhone know where I can change that?

"don't know why and its not worth the time asking."

Unless I'm misinterpreting something, it sounds as though you're not really concerned with what is in your clients best interest.

Relax! lol

the 'client' is my father-in-law and concerning him, as past experience has told me, I just do as I'm told.
