Transfer email accounts from one domain to another domain?

I'm setting up a new domain controller and etc.  Our first server is trashed, random crap installed on it.  I just started working for the company I'm currently at and my first task is to set up a new domain controller and exchange server.  In the process of the new domain controller and exchange server we are changing our domain name from blahblah.local to blahblah.com.  I just realized I have no clue how to transfer our Exchange 2007 mail boxes from the old domain to the new one.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Why??

Keeping the AD Domain separate from the public one is, in my opinion, one of the best things you can do to keep life simple.

I'm still having some troubles getting the Cross Org transfers done of my mailboxes.  Do you know of any more indepth articles?
