Unable to ping

Here is my problem, I have two windows 2003 enterprise edition servers. I am trying to cluster them together at my office, so i can take them to another location and install. My problem is when i promoted the two machines to domain controllers(of their own domain) I now am unable to ping the 2 machines, or search the internet on the two machines. I thought it was a dns error, but i tried via ip address still no effect, the ip addresses are correct, both machine are dual homed, the public interface has a default gateway, i am stuck on this.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If they are at 2 different locations make sure all TCP/IP info is correct.  IPCONFIG /ALL and check the subnet mask, defualt gateway, IP etc.  If they are not connecting to the internet there is something you might be missing.  Let me know if you have anymore details, but this sounds like a basic TCP/IP setup problem.

its not, both ip address have the correct information, if i enable one of the adapter for dchp, it doesnt get an address, both of the machines are connected to a local switch, including the pc i am using to access the internet.

It almost has to be a configuration issue or possibly firewall related... goodluck.

It was the configuration what it was that the interfaces were mislabeled.
