How do I hide query string when calling BIRT viewer from my web application?

I want to launch the BIRT viewer on a new browser but hide the query string (since the parameters could contain sensitive details for some reports)

Looking at the BIRT viewer source code, I see only GET request enabled on servlet...
Any idea how to do this?

This is how it looks on the browser currently:
http://report-server-host:8080/birt-viewer/run?__report=xxx.rptdesign&...-Microsoft

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you can add the attribute to the request itself using
request.setAttribute("param", xxx);

Then get it in the other page by using
request.getAttribute("param", xxx);

using this method, the attribute will not appear in the URL

hope that help. . . . .
