The Blue Screen Blues: ati2davg

A bit more frequently then I'd like lately, I get the blue screen (is anyone suppose to understand what all that means?) ... with the only thing recognizable:  ati2davg.

This has something to do with the video card, and it seems to happen everytime I exit World of Warcraft (oops ... I guess you caught me!  I'm a gamer).

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Thats part of the ATI driver software...

Uninstall teh adapter in teh device manager, and reboot. Stop the reinstallation on next login, and make sure you have the latest drivers for your card.

If it is an OEM card (from Dell, HP etc, go to thier website and get it). If it was a retail package go to, and get the latest one for the card.

Instal;l it, and then once it is done, reboot, and retest....
