need resolution for symantec backup failure

The backup failed on windows server 2003. It has a full byte count but still failing on the below:

Backup- Shadow?Copy?Components Shadow?Copy?Components
V-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list.
V-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list.
V-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list.

Expanding the errors, I see errors like the below:

The item Shadow?Copy?Components\System?Service\Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol\C:_WINDOWS_System32_dhcp\dhcp in use - skipped.
V-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list.
The item Shadow?Copy?Components\System?Service\Event Logs\Event Logs in use - skipped.
V-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list.

I follwed the link [V-79-57344-65245 - A failure occurred accessing the object list] that veritas provided [a patch from Microsoft] but that hasn't done the trick as the server failed with the same error message.
I was able to backup the  shadow copy components successfully so just need additional advice.

Can you let us know if this is Windows 2003 R2?
10.0 does not support R2 and you'd have to use the free download of 10.1 and install that.

If that's not the problem, try applying the latest VSS hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940349

If that doesn't work, you may have to put the Backup Exec Remote Agent in debug mode.
