Exchange 2007

"the action could not be completed. the name could not be matched to a name in the address list.".

The above message poped up when I try to setup an email account utilizing a mail icon from control panel, the Microsoft Outlook XP.

I've got my Exchange 2007 installed on Windows 2003 server.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

check the name is correct with name present on the server
secondly do check name on mail when you type the name if still this doesent work
then there are  only two things you need to look at
1)the name spelling is not correct which you are typing to check go to ex 2k7 exchange management console from program list and open it up go to recipient configuration from left hand side navigation panel and select mailbox and check fot the usermailbox .>>> if you can find the mail box then just look at the alias next to it and type the same alias on the cleint outlook setup and click check names it will pick it up if not then i am sure the mail box dosent exist.
Let me know the outcome i am intrested in result
if this work select this as accepted solution so others can get easy way to solve their issues same like urs

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

The solution i can see is:
you can resolve the issue by checking the network NIC card
configuration.....if they are been used as a bridge network ..also verify the
