Moving AD integrated domain zone to child domain from root domain

Hi,
I have a forest with 1 root domain and 5 child domains.
For 2 child domains the dns information in the root forward lookup zone as a new domain and for rest of the 3 child domains we have a delegation which is pointing the dns information for these domains to name servers in these child domains.

I am given the task to move the 2 child domains from root dns forward lookup zone to each child domain FLZ and create a new delegation to point to NS records.

I am attaching a file showing the dns structure, with 2 screen shots in it. Showing the changes to be done as in the other 3 child domains.

Regards,
SH

change the replication scope of the zones to be all servers in the forest, after replication is complete the zones will be present on all servers in the forest. Another potential path is to use DNScmd.exe utility to export the zones to file, then mount them on the child domains (will show as standard zones), then change to AD integrated.

I prefer the first option personally as this ensures nothing is lost in the transfer.

This article explains how to create a delegation to the child domain controller and allow the child DC to be authoritative for that zone.  Then you don't have to replicate it across the forest if you don't want to.
