asked on
vista 32 or 64 bit to run intel e6750 processor
I am setting up a system based on asus p5b-vm motherboard with 4 gb ddr2-800 ram and intel e6750 processor.
Is thare any advantage using windows vista 64 bit instead of vista 32 bit.
Also, does all softwares tha are compatible with vista 32 bit will run on vista 64 bit?
Finally, does softwares must be written specially to take advantage of vista 64 bit?

Thank you Sparkmaker!
Vista 64 can run 32 bit applications, but there can be a problem with compatibility if a 16 bit code is used in the application installer. This 16 bit code isn't supported.
64 bit applications are what this OS is written for, especially when applied to supported 64 bit hardware.
Here is a great article on the subject.
