I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Cindy Meister's comment in http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2767812&SiteID=1 pretty much answers that issue:

I'm afraid what you're trying to do is not really supported by the Word object model. 1 and 3 are not possibe; there's no interface for doing those things. For 2 there is an interface - things can be added to the context menu via the CommandBars part of the object model, by trapping the BeforeRightClick event.

However, if you want to provide a customized spell-checking tool, the better approach is to apply to Microsoft for the CSAPI (the API for developing spell checkers using the same interface Office uses). You'll find more information here
