jni on iSeries for ile c++ module

I need to create a jni interface to a ile c++ module (.mod).  I need to call functions in the c++ module and receive results from a java servlet running in WebSphere.  Can anyone give me some guidance on this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I'd suggest to take a look at the JNI tutorial at http://www.codetoad.com/java_simpleJNI.asp - this article explains how to do that in detail, take a look at the code snippets. The whole description and documentation can be found at http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jni/ ("Java Native Interface: Programmer's Guide and Specification"). There's also a LGPLed library that might help: http://jnative.sf.net
