Exchange Backup Issue

I just signed up here today to try and find a resolution to this issue.
I added this information on to an existing question (
but I thought I would try my luck with a fresh question.
When I try to back my Exchange 2007 server it fails with the "'The 'Microsoft Information Store' returned 'Functions called in an invalid sequence" error. I read the Microsoft article detailing not having Exchange on the same drive as the OS, and to create specific backups for System State and Exchange.
Exchange is installed on a separate drive from the operating system. I have tried backing up the system state first, followed by Exchange - no luck
I tried backing up system state to a drive separate from the drive I am trying to backup Exchange to - no luck
Tried backing up Exchange to our SAN - no luck
Tried backing up Exchange to a shared drive on another server - no luck
Any help would be appreciated.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I seemed to have resolved my own issue...
Since this is a test lab, I enabled circular logging on the storage groups.
Once that was done and the disk space cleared up, ntbackup ran without issue.
