Step by Step on Install and configure SSL certificate for Exchange 2007

Is there a documentation out there that explains how to setup the SSL certificate?
My domain controller is named mydomain.local and I understand that can cause issues in Oultlook Anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sembee just talks about SSL certs in general, which goes back to my initial statement about making sure you configure everything with your external name space.

You just need to configure certs with your external name space...... havin  .local should not be an issue I do all mylab work that way.

I would purchase a cert from godady or somthing

I read that in Exchange 2007 you need to create a seperate virtual space in IIS for the certificate to work properly in Outlook Anywhere.
Is that true or can you use the default name space? The reasoning was that since the machine was named .local that the cert which is .com it would not work properly.

Thanks for you help.

Do you have link or doc name to what you are referencing?

My setup uses different internal name and exteranl name, which is your basic scenario.

check out my blog related to autodiscover exchange-genie.blogspot.com

As long as you setup all the correct item with external name space I dont see any issue with your internal being .local now no users will be able to access .local from the outside which is why you have to configure everything with external names......
