"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What do you mean by "revalidates" ... do you mean you must login each time?

The login information is actually lost and is continiously required to be re-entered so that you are prevented from getting past the driver login screen. That is once the login information is entered the screen reappears asking for the information again in a continious loop.

I solved this problem by putting the mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.23-win32.msi driver on there instead of the mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.1-win32.msi

Right ... 5.1 is in Beta, and certainly wouldn't be advisable to use in a production environment.
