compiling c programs with ant

I have been tasked with converting our make files into ant build files. I have lots of tutorials on ant and how to build and automate java development. Of course, all of our stuff is in c and c++. Would it be possible to have a small example of an ant build.xml file be posted that calls the c compiler and compiles a simple hello world program.

Can anyone recommend any links to tutorials that use ant for other things then just java development.

Thanks. I have ant-contrib installed now. However, would it be possible to have an example ant build.xml posted where it is set yo compile just a simple c program. Nothing fancy, I kind of need a base to start from as I'm not a programmer. All of my ant references and examples are for compiling java programs. I need just a little push.

I don't use ant personally but perhaps this can help:
