my server keeps crashing everyday

Dear experts,
My double take 5.0 running on windows server 2000 keeps crashing all most everyday and in event viewer i only get this: "The previous system shutdown at 3:31:46 AM on 2/7/2008 was unexpected. "
source: event log
event ID: 6008
category: none
do you guys know any software I can install to track the events on my machin to find out what is causing the problem?

Many Thanks,

You want to enable at least a kernel level memory dump and analyze that, it could point you to a faulty driver or hardware failure.

Is this on a UPS?  Have you changed the battery lately?  I've seen one of my UPS seemingly do a self test and shut down for an instant once each night.

Hi Leew
it is on UPS but 7 other servers are connected the UPS with no problem.
Ok... silly question - since you didn't specify what model UPS, Can you confirm it's on a BATTERY outlet - many UPS include NON-Battery outlets that are meant for things like printers or otherwise non-important devices.  Try swapping outlets with a server that is not having the problem... Then see what happens.  Just to conclusively rule out the UPS.
Actually, to conclusively rule it out, better to plug directly into a wall outlet (via Surge Protector) for a couple of nights.

i downloaded the debuging tool but it hasn't got the Dumpchk.exe!
where can i download it? and how to use it?
i should add that this server sometimes freezes and does nothing and i have to restart it (like this morning).
