Keeping 640X480 screen size at startup on Macintosh

I have a mac mini that is running a kiosk with a small screen. I want the screen to stay at 640X480, but each time it starts up , it resets back to 600X800.  It wont' seem to keep my display preferences.

Is this something I can set up with Applescript? Or is there another answer. I am not good at writing applescript.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

http://www.madrau.com/html/SRX/About.html Try switchresx. I can think of several ways this app might go to do what you want.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that, and switchresx requires Application Enhance, which doesn't work in Leopard
