Joomla Need easy way to display pdf files for users

I know very little about Joomla and I need a easy way to have it show pdf files. I want users to click on my news section, select a story and have the pdf version open automatically.  I have installed docman, but I am lost in it. I can't figure out how to link the files I have in it to my news content section. Thanks

Thanks for your help. I had that HTML code already. I just needed to figure out the quirks of Joomla, which I did. I had to edit the actual HTML code, not cut and paste like I was trying to do.

I think what you really want is an extension called linkr. Search for it on the Joomla site or follow this link.

It has the ability to create links but... it also has a feature when you create a hyperlink that allows you to upload documents and create the link in your article in one config window. Very easy to deploy and VERY easy for users to use from the front end to manage their pdf or any other type of file requiring links.
