Unable to save files from web site to Vista m/c

I have a new Dell m/c that came preinstalled with Vista. I have one account and I am the administrator.  The account is password protected as I am on a small peer-to-peer network. When I try to save a file from a website to my hard drive I get a message box saying I am not allowed to save to the "Folder Name" and to contact "my administrator"  regardless ofwhich folder I choose. The file I tried to save was a .jpg file.  My browser was IE 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have already searched MS Knowledgebase and this site.

Could an Internet Explorer 7 security rule be preventing you from downloading any file to anywhere?

Try Mozilla Firefox...
