CMS connection error

Hi, When I try to log onto the Enterprise server from within Crystal Reports on my local machine, I get the error message above. How do I resolve this?

It was unknow to BOE when I went through this issue.  The CMC looks like it is still running but in fact it has stopped.  In some cases, it is cause by a database disconnect. Usually the dba do a database restore or backup and it plays with the cmc.  Other times it just becomes unstable.

Can you connect with any other report?  If not you may need to stop and restart the CMC on the BO server.

both are speaking of two different thing (CMC and CMS) . are both same?

The CMS is a service of the CMC.  I tend to use them interchangable because without the CMS you have no environment.  it is the parent that allows the system to work.
