Network Scanning from HP ALL - IN - ONE HP 3055 Windows 2003 Standard R2 server

HI GUYS,

We at our office are using HP Laserjet 3055 All in one Printer for Printing. We also need to use  the scanning facility of the printer over Network. Is this possible?  Also I would Appreciete if there are any tools or utilities which will recognise a Scanner/Printer over network?

Thank you

You should install the software suite that came with printer.  If you don't have the disk you can download it here (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1161389&prodNameId=1140780&swEnvOID=228&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ma-38114-4)

After this is complete, you can use START --> Programs --> HP --> "Scan".  Which will provide a wizard for configuring your printer (Scan to Folder, Scan to Email, etc).  Once complete you can either remotely create a scan job OR walk to the printer insert your document, press the "Scan To" button then select the Scan object you created (Mine says "FILE: Chris").

Hope that helps.
I would like to add, don't install this on your Windows 2003 server (untested).  Install it on your XP desktop.
