Exc. 2007 receive conn. with anonymous selected

Exchange 2007
If I select 'Anonymous' as on of the Permission Groups on a receive connector, do I even need to select any authentication method?
Does the fact that I have selected ANONYMOUS eliminate the requirement for authentication.
I would logically think so.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I agree with your reasoning.  Anonymous has to be enabled, otherwise you will never receive internet mail from other servers, and that would seem to negate the effect of the other authentication settings.  I left mine checked, though, 'just in case'.
