Canon Remote Capture brings up Visual C++ Runtime error
Using Windows XP Pro SP2, I have installed the latest version of Canon Remote Capture (k5c02enx.exe), but as soon as I try to run it this error message comes up:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: F:\Program Files on F:\RemoteCapture.exe
abnormal program termination.
Microsoft says this is due to a clash with either Mosearch.exe or Mosdmn.exe, but I don't have either of them on my system.
Canon says both cameras (PowerShot G2 and EOS 10D) are compatible with Remote Capture.
This error did not come up immediately. I had three or four unsuccessful tries at connecting the camera then, at the next attempt at running the Remote Capture, this Runtime Error appeared and has come up every time since.
Where to go from here please?
