"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

To copy a icon you will need to create yourself a new GPO. Configure the user logon script settings within that GPO and add the batch file and the icon you want copied into the GPO itself.

The batch file will contain a command similar to this

copy "\\domain name\SysVol\domain name\Policies\{D95D3B48-CE22-4E8D-BC34-0D8F57AFDFDB}\User\Scripts\Logon\desktop icon name" "%userprofile%\desktop\desktop icon name" /y

When the users logon it will run the above command and copy the icon from the Sysvol share on your DC's to the local pc.

Let me know how you get on....
