I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In visual studio right click the bin folder and select "Exclude from Project".  This will mean the folder and all it's contents are not included in the project and so will not be under source control. Generally I don't include the bin folder in the solution but it can be helpful on occasion.

You can also use the "Show all files" button at the top of the solution explorer to display all files in the structure so that you can add them to the project in a similar way.

You may want to consider cloaking.

I wish we could get a comprehensive solution from Microsoft because there are times that it does come in handy...
