Autocad crashes when plotting a .dwg to a network printer. Any suggestions??

Autocad 2004 LT will open properly and display the drawing correctly. The problem is when i try to plot the drawing to a network printer. I receive the error stated above.  the document itself doesn't seem to be corrupt, i say this b/c i run the AUDIT and it checks out fine.  I have updated the pc and checked the system requirements, resources, and patches for the autocad and all are in order.  I have tried the repair and reinstall both unsuccessful. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you see something in the Preview window when in the plot command before you send it.  I would check you have the proper driver installed on the terminal.  Our tech dept has to come and install the proper driver when we get a new network plotter.

I meant to ask is this a new installation or have you installed new equipment.

Can you ping the printer from your workstation?
Make sure that the ports are setup correctly for the printer what kind of printer is it.  I would delete the printer and add it back.

Make sure all drives are installed on the server.
If the printer is not installed on the server, make sure the printer drivers are installed on your workstation and that the printer has a static IP Address.

thanks for the help dhsindy and KnightsR.  It seems the only solution for my problem was repairing the win2k OS. after i repaired the OS the ploting and printing worked perfectly.
